Safe-Word requires microphone access to detect your pre-defined "Safe-Word." To ensure maximum privacy, all audio processing is performed LOCALLY on your device. We do not record, store, or transmit any audio or voice data to our servers or any third parties.
We collect your precise GPS location ONLY when the SOS trigger is activated by your spoken Safe-Word. This data is transmitted immediately and exclusively to your designated emergency contact. We do not maintain a history of your location on our servers.
We store the phone number of your chosen contact locally on your device to facilitate the SMS alert. You represent that you have the consent of this individual to provide their information.
While we use industry-standard encryption for app settings, please be aware that SOS messages are sent via cellular networks (SMS), which are subject to carrier security protocols.
